Forward booking is an important process that ensure your patients receive the highest quality care at the right time.

By implementing the Ready, Set, Go! forward booking initiative from PHP, in collaboration with Veterinary Medical Association Executives (VMAE), you can take advantage of these ready-to-use tools to make sure all your patients’ next appointments are scheduled before they leave the practice after their current visit.

Partners for Healthy Pets (PHP), an alliance of 100+ veterinary associations, veterinary colleges, and animal health companies focused on preventive care led by AAHA and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), is providing a free suite of downloadable tools to help your practice implement forward booking.

Take advantage of the video tools offered for your use. First, there is the webinar “How to Implement Forward Booking in Your Pratice” hosted by Karen Felsted, DVM, CPA, MS, CVPM, CVA. This webinar and series of coaching sessions are designed for veterinary practice teams. Learn why forward booking is necessity and how your peers are overcoming barriers in forward booking implementation.

There is also a series of six videos that cover how to talk to clients about forward booking when they first walk in the door, in the exam room, and again before they leave. These videos also cover helpful tips like how management can communicate their support for forward booking and how to provide peer-to-peer support to fellow team members.

A series of posters can be downloaded and framed to help remind clients and team members to make sure clients’ next appointments are booked before they leave the practice.
