As we begin Partners for Healthy Pets’ (PHP) sixth year of existence, we want to thank you for helping us stay true to our mission of ensuring that pets receive the preventive healthcare they deserve through regular visits to a veterinarian.

Partners for Healthy Pets (PHP), an alliance of 100+ veterinary associations, veterinary colleges, and animal health companies focused on preventive care led by AAHA and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) has done a lot this year to help veterinary practice teams continue to excel.

We have done this in many ways, from our initial kickoff of The Opportunity Survey, which allows practices to get a true understanding of their strengths and weakness as a team, to our most recent initiative surrounding forward booking, ensuring that every pet owner has an appointment set before they leave the practice.

One recent program we kicked off is the Inactive Client Program. This program has been proven to bring inactive clients back into the practice and is now utilized by over a thousand practices. Take a look at the results from the pilot program and utilize the materials!

PHP has also been offering CE at conferences. This year, Karen Felsted, DVM, CPA, MS, CVPM, CVA and Karyn Gavzer, MBA, CVPM, worked with PHP to bring you “We’re at a Tipping Point: Believe You Can Achieve”, a case-based course that focuses on practical strategies with demonstrated success in bringing in and holding onto the kinds of pet owners you want in your practice. This presentation appeared at Western Veterinary Conference, the American Animal Hospital Association Conference, and the American Veterinary Medical Association Convention. Keep checking back for what we have in store for 2018!

Information is abundant, but you can always count on PHP to provide the most recent preventive care information. PHP's website has updated guidelines, videos, content and more.  Start here for new videos on communications and feel free to explore.
