Partners for Healthy Pets

You’ve likely heard of the Partners for Healthy Pets. By now, you probably know about their mission to ensure pets receive the preventive health care they deserve through regular visits to a veterinarian.

You may not know about all of the tools the Partners for Healthy Pets offers, however. The group’s Practice Resources Toolbox contains powerful tools and resources to enhance the delivery of preventive health care and your communication with pet owners about the value of routine care. By using these free tools, you’ll be able to:

  • Increase new and existing client visits to your hospital
  • Increase compliance among pet owners
  • Enhance the delivery of high-quality preventive care
  • Help pet owners understand the critical role of the veterinarian and the veterinary health care team in the health of their pet

The tools were developed with your practice in mind, emphasizing preventive health care. They meet specific needs identified by pet owners, veterinarians, and other health care team members in a robust, nationwide survey. The tools are flexible, providing you with a range of options from enrolling the entire practice team in comprehensive training programs to selectively choosing quick and easy-to-understand tools that can be accessed on an individual basis. They also address a wide range of issues, from staff communication to client compliance and social media.

Here’s what you’ll find in the Practice Resources Toolbox:

  • The Opportunity Survey—Use this exclusive online practice survey to uncover possible gaps between what your practice communicates and what pet owners understand; then use these insights to select the right tools.
  • Guidelines Implementation Tools—Enhance the team’s ability to provide high-quality preventive care by implementing the AAHA/AVMA Canine and Feline Preventive Healthcare Guidelines.
  • Communication Tools—Boost client compliance/acceptance of medical recommendations by using effective communication skills.
  • Internet Marketing & Social Media Tools—Increase the number of client visits for preventive health care through a strong online presence.
  • Preventive Healthcare Plans Tools—Alleviate pet owner-perceived invoice “sticker shock” by helping them manage costs.
  • Feline-Friendly Practice Tools—De-stress the visit for both cats and their owners by creating a more cat-friendly practice.

Check out these powerful tools to improve the vitality of your patients and your practice. Visit the Partners for Healthy Pets online at partnersforhealthypets.org.
