You’re a whiz with drug dosages, your palpation game is on point, and you can practically place sutures in your sleep. You’re ready to practice, right? Almost.

Some things aren’t taught in veterinary school. Gain the key professional skills you need to contribute to a successful practice—and be healthier, savvier, and more fulfilled in your veterinary career—with the Indispensable Associate Initiative: Professional Skills Workshop.

After just one (free!) day, you’ll return to your hospital ready to:

  • Navigate conflict with confidence
  • Remove client compliance and communication barriers
  • Improve team interactions by recognizing different communication styles
  • Pay off your student debt (yes, really!) and invest into retirement
  • Do more with less by offering gold-standard care within limited means
  • Stop dreading “the money conversation”
  • Fill your cup by embracing positivity, putting yourself first, learning to say no, and forgiving others (including yourself)

Designed to meet the specific needs of 2014–2018 graduates, this program provides seven CE credits and is offered at no cost based on an educational grant from Zoetis.

Upcoming workshops:

  • August 28 | Parsippany, NJ
  • September 4 | Durham, NC
  • September 25 | Lansing, MI
  • October 15 | Conroe (Houston), TX
  • November 13 | Lakewood, CO

Make yourself indispensable. Invest in your future and your practice at aaha.org/associate.
