Zoonotic diseases are recognized occupational hazards faced by veterinary professionals on a daily basis. That’s why the AAHA Board of Directors recently voted to endorse the Compendium of Veterinary Standard Precautions for Zoonotic Disease Prevention in Veterinary Personnel, 2015.

Developed by the National Association of State Public Health Veterinarians (NASPHV) Veterinary Infection Control Committee (VICC), this valuable resource provides important infection prevention and control guidelines for every member of the veterinary team.

For practice team and patient safety, consider implementing these best practices in your hospital.
