If you’re seeing a decrease in feline visits, you’re not alone: While 83 percent of cats are seen by a veterinarian during the first year of ownership, over half of them do not return.

In an effort to reverse this scary statistic, the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) is focusing on educating cat caregivers on the importance of routine checkups in preparation for National Bring Your Cat to the Vet Day (#Cat2VetDay) on August 22.

To help them spread the word, the AAFP has created a variety of ready-to-use brochures, flyers, and infographics veterinary professionals can share with clients, including:

  • How to Get Your Cat to the Vet brochure
  • Vet Visits Don’t Have to Be Stressful flyer
  • Five Benefits of Routine Vet Visits flyer
  • Turn Your Cat’s Carrier into a Home Away from Home infographic
  • Five Reasons Routine Vet Visits Are a Vital Part of Your Cat’s Health infographic
  • Five Tips to Reduce Stress of Vet Visits for Your Cat infographic
