Are your savings goals on track?

The third week of October (Oct. 18-24) marks the beginning of National Retirement Security Week, a national effort dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of saving for retirement. Considering the state of retirement savings in America, it is a perfect time to reflect on your personal retirement goals.

Many individuals do not save enough for a comfortable life in retirement – or do not save at all.  Forty-six percent Americans have less than $10,000 saved for retirement, according to a 2014 Retirement Confidence Survey conducted by the Employment Benefit Research Institute. Often, the reason people do not save is lack of preparation and understanding. Without knowing how much they need to save, there are no long-term savings goals to meet.

Each day, retirement program specialists help AAHA members such as yourselves plan for a secure financial future and help you stay on track. They can help you design a plan that fits your practice, keep you up-to-date on changing regulations that can affect retirement savings, and provide information that makes tax filing as simple as possible.

Contact a retirement program specialist today at 800-523-1125 to get your savings back on track. Learn more about your retirement planning options at www.axa2plan.com
