What makes a great veterinarian?

The “Indispensable Associate Initiative: Professional Skills” workshop helps associates gain the key business and communication skills they need to lead a successful practice—and be healthier, savvier, and more fulfilled in their veterinary careers.

Designed to meet the specific needs of 2013–2017 graduates, this one-day program is presented at no cost based on an educational grant from Zoetis.

After completing this program, associates will have the skills to:

  • Use DISC and Emotional Intelligence to create a positive, productive, and profitable work environment
  • Improve exam room interactions and make key recommendations that resonate with clients
  • Cultivate better relationships with clients and staff through open communication
  • Recognize and prevent secondary traumatic stress in themselves and team members
  • Achieve personal and professional fulfillment in a challenging industry
