AAHA MARKETLink/MWI is bringing its popular "Making CENTS of Your Inventory" to Bloomington, Minn. on February 27.

The seminar addresses the challenges of managing inventory, often referenced as the second-highest cost center in veterinary hospitals. This interactive workshop is designed to teach the basics of managing the inventory needs of busy veterinary hospitals and assist key personnel in implementing the best inventory practices in their own hospital environment. Anyone with the direct responsibility of managing inventory should attend this helpful workshop. Practice owners and managers are encouraged to attend as well.

The day's events will cover:

  • Introduction to inventory as an asset, common terms, goals, and objectives
  • Setting an overall strategy
  • Establishing efficient and effective supplier support
  • Integrated time management for all staff members who deplete inventory
  • Organizing
  • Controlling inventory depletions and control disciplines
  • Knowledge needs and tools
  • Replenishment factors and opportunities
  • Implementation planning
