BA (Telecommunications), Michigan State University, 1984; MBA, University of Michigan, 1988.
I cheer for whoever is winning and layer my clothes so I can be wearing appropriate colors no matter who’s winning.
What’s your proudest career accomplishment?
Being nationally recognized as the Veterinary Medical Association Executives (VMAE)’s Executive of Year in 2008, becoming the CEO of MVMA in 2003, being elected president of the VMAE, and becoming a nationally recognized speaker.
What gets you out of bed every morning?
Making a difference in other people’s lives and watching people light up when they “get it.”
What are you known for?
Being positive, energetic, and having only two speeds–high and off. I’m also known for association management, telling funny stories, connecting with people, and being the “weird one.”
What’s your superpower?
I’m the lead singer in a high-energy fun band that once opened for Night Ranger in front of 11,000 people. My husband also says I’m the glue that holds things together in any structure. I’m not super glue, though, because I change my mind a lot. In fact, maybe I’m duct tape.
