Garret Pachtinger is a board-certified veterinary specialist in emergency critical care who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School. He then pursued an internship at the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also completed an emergency fellowship and residency. He was previously an associate at the Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Levittown, PA, and the internship director, trauma center medical director, and house officer program director for BluePearl. Dr. Pachtinger has been published in numerous veterinary journals, textbooks, and peer-reviewed learning tools, and is on the editorial board of Today’s Veterinary Practice. Dr. Pachtinger lectures throughout the world on emergency and critical care and is the co-founder and COO of VETgirl, the number one online CE resource for veterinary professionals.

Shelby Reinstein, DVM, DACVO

Shelby Reinstein is a board-certified ophthalmologist residing in the beautiful area of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Dr. Reinstein obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Science degrees from Kansas State University and completed her fellowship and residency in Ophthalmology at PennVet. Dr. Reinstein spent seven years in clinical practice at a large, multi-specialty hospital, where she provided care to thousands of pets and performed hundreds of vision-saving surgeries. Dr. Reinstein has a passion for continuing education and recently published the Guide to Clinical Ophthalmology, a handbook for general practitioners. She writes articles for Clinician’s Brief and Today’s Veterinary Practice, and is the ophthalmology consultant for the leading online CE company, VETgirl.
