Troy V. Mumford

mumford-crop.jpgTroy V. Mumford is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at Colorado State University. He received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from Purdue University where he also worked with VMI programs in 2000.  He enjoys doing research that explores leadership at different organizational levels (e.g., supervisory, managerial, and executive), in teams, and in shaping organizational culture.  He is also passionate about teaching, and has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Compensation and Benefits, and Management, receiving for several teaching awards.

He has also been involved in variety of independent consulting and applied research projects for organizations in the biomedical, manufacturing, financial, legal, and airline industries as well as the United States Government.  Through all these experiences, Troy continues to find wisdom and inspiration from the lessons learned raising cattle and crops on the family farm.
