Erin Frey, DVM, MPH, DACVPM

Dr. Erin Frey received her DVM from NC State University in 2003 and her MPH from the University of North Carolina in 2018. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, a member of the AVMA's Committee on Antimicrobials representing the American Animal Hospital Association, and an advisor to the Veterinary Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing committee of the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute. Dr. Frey is a Research Assistant Professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine who serves as a clinician in the Small Animal Primary Care service, teaches public health and epidemiology, and has a research focus of companion animal antimicrobial resistance and stewardship. Her current research projects include describing antimicrobial use in companion animals in partnership with the FDA, evaluating client perspectives on antimicrobial use, and determining the clinical outcomes of subclinical bacteriuria in dogs.
