Veterinary Management Series: Culture, HR, and Marketing Learning Facilitators

Kerry Plemmons

Kerry Plemmons has 30 years of entrepreneurial experience with success in launching and running small- and medium-sized businesses in the U.S. and Mexico and another 13 years as an academic and consultant. Since joining the University of Denver Daniels College of Business full time in 2004, Plemmons has consulted for senior executives at Crocs, Kaiser Permanente, VMG, ACA, Miller Coors, Microsoft, Janus Capital Group, Western Union, and many more. In the Executive MBA program at the Daniels College of Business, he teaches strategic marketing, innovation, and a global business sequence that culminates in a two-week international experience. Plemmons is a published author with his book, Juxtapositions: Comparing Mild to Wild Success – Irreverently, which looks at organizational success as a whole, including how a kind and gentle revolution can create a strong cultural focus and how imagination can drive strategies that align with organization's mission.

Rachel Schultz Hendricks

Rachel Schultz Hendricks has over 15 years of veterinary and practice management experience and is currently the practice administrator of a small animal practice in upstate New York. She previously worked as a practice consultant for AAHA in the northeastern United States and Canada. Hendricks has a BS in biology from Houghton College, received her veterinary technician schooling at Bel Rea Institute for Veterinary Technology, and achieved her Master of Management at the University of Phoenix. In addition to being an LVT, Hendricks decided to pursue her CVPM, SPHR, and SHRM-SCP credentials. She is currently a doctoral candidate at St. John Fisher College and is studying executive leadership; she also teaches at Syracuse University. Hendricks is passionate about human resources and values the importance of human capital and culture within veterinary medicine. In her spare time, Hendricks loves to be with her family in the greater Finger Lakes region and competes in hunter/jumper classes with her Oldenburg horse.

Bill Schroeder

Bill Schroeder is a founding owner of InTouch Practice Communications and has, for the past 22 years, enjoyed helping over 6,000 practices educate their clients and share their messages. Bill has a BA in Communications from Western Illinois University, is a former United States Marine, sits on the board of directors for VetPartners, and is a graduate of the Veterinary Management Institute at Purdue.  Bill enjoys lecturing about marketing and practice growth on the international veterinary circuit. Bill and his family live in the Chicago suburb of Schererville, Indiana where he remains active in the Marine Corps veteran's community, loves his WORLD CHAMPION Chicago Cubs, and spends way too much time learning about digital marketing.
