Wendy Hauser, DVM

Wendy Hauser, DVM, is AVP, Veterinary Relations, Crum & Forster Pet Insurance Group. Dr. Hauser is passionate about helping people, be it the client or veterinary professional. She explains:

“I am a veterinarian because I love helping people by keeping their beloved pets healthy. By forming strong partnerships with my clients, their clients and pets benefit.”

Her current role provides an excellent outlet for her to serve veterinarians, clients and pets. Dr. Hauser’s goal is to promote pet health insurance as an essential tool that lets owners say ‘yes’ to the recommendations of their veterinarians, ensuring care that is in the best interests of the pet. She believes that when clients are empowered to accept recommendations, veterinarians and animal health care teams will experience greater job satisfaction, lower levels of stress, and burnout.

In 2015, she established Peak Veterinary Consulting, after working as an industry Technical Services Veterinarian. With a DVM from OK State in 1988, she has practiced for 30 years as an associate, owner and relief veterinarian. In 2011 her hospital was named as an AAHA Practice of the Year finalist.

Dr. Hauser is highly engaged in AAHA leadership having served as a member of the Board of Directors, as the Board Vice-President and currently serves as the AAHA Delegate to the AVMA House of Delegates. An accomplished author and international presenter, she is also the co-author of “The Veterinarian’s Guide to Healthy Pet Plans.”
