Additional Business Insurance Solutions

Mobile loss of income and extra expense

This coverage responds when an insured vehicle is out of service due to a covered loss suspending your business operations. This includes the physical damage to your mobile veterinary equipment or the physical loss or damage to an auto that the veterinary equipment is permanently mounted. You can be reimbursed for income lost while the vehicle is being repaired or replaced.

Data breach coverage

This newer coverage allows you to adhere to state and federal regulations by paying for notification expenses when a breach has occurred; helps you quickly restore the practice’s reputation and trust by covering public relations and good faith advertising expenses; protects the practice’s viability if the business is sued by one of your customers and found liable for damages; and provides confidence and control through valuable advice on preparing for and reducing the potential for a data breach occurrence. Policyholders have access to a proprietary breach preparedness website equipped with tips and tools to help reduce the likelihood of a data breach and to help with breach responsiveness. Click here for more information about how to protect your data against theft and guard your bottom line.

Employee benefits coverage

This liability coverage protects the practice for errors or omissions in the administration of an employee benefit program, such as the failure to advise employees of benefit programs.

Commercial automobile

Provides coverage for vehicles owned by the practice and used for business-related purposes. Coverages available include auto liability, physical damage, uninsured and underinsured motorists, rental reimbursement, towing, hired and non-owned auto coverage.

Flood insurance

Flood insurance provides coverage for direct physical damage to your building or its contents by or from a flood. For example, damages caused by a sewer backup are covered if the backup is a direct result of flooding. Click here for a summary of coverage for the National Flood Insurance Program. It includes general information about deductibles, what is and is not covered by flood insurance, and how items are valued at time of loss.

ERISA bond

If you provide the practice employees with a 401K retirement plan, an ERISA Bond is required to cover a minimum of 10% of the assets in the fund.

Directors and officers liability

This coverage protects against allegations of wrongful acts for members who sit on a board for an association, emergency clinic or other type of non-profit veterinary organization. This policy insures the organization itself and all past, present and future officers, directors, board and committee members, volunteers and employees of the organization.

Fiduciary coverage

Provides coverage for trustees, employers, fiduciaries, professional administrators, and the plan itself with respect to errors and omissions in the administration of employee benefit programs.

Builder’s risk

Provides essential protection of your financial interests during the course of construction of a new structure or renovations to an existing structure. It protects the project from start to finish as building materials and other property are covered from the time they are delivered to the job site until the structure is completed and can be covered under permanent property insurance. It also provides coverage for theft of building materials, materials in transit or at a temporary location, certain landscaping and much more.
