AAHA Problem and Diagnosis Terms

Thank you for your interest in the AAHA Problem and Diagnosis Terms. The terms currently consist of approximately 5,600 clinical signs and diagnostic terms commonly used in companion animal practices in North America. They are completely mapped to SNOMED codes and are available in an XML format only at this time.

The Board of Directors of AAHA is interested in making these terms available as widely as possible. As such, the Board has agreed to a goal of releasing the terms under reciprocal open-source licenses, without fee or royalty. The reciprocal open-source license agreement follows this information and is available for your acceptance. If you agree to AAHA's open-source licensing agreement, you will have access to the XML file of the AAHA Problem and Diagnosis Terms.

If you elect to acquire the terms you will need to complete the following steps:
  1. You will first need to acquire a UMLS License number in the U.S. or International Affiliate License. There is no fee to obtain the license.
  2. Once you have the UMLS license number, you will need to accept the terms of the AAHA license agreement. The agreement form is at the bottom of the AAHA license agreement and you will be asked to submit your UMLS number at the same time.

You must Log In to view the AAHA License Agreement and to access the AAHA Problem and Diagnosis Terms.
