About the Author 
Dawn Merton Boothe, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVIM, DACVCP , is professor of physiology and pharmacology at Auburn University. She received her DVM degree and her MS and PhD degrees in physiology (clinical pharmacology) from Texas A&M University. She is a member of the American College of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology and the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
