Economic Census forms will soon reach veterinary practices

Veterinary practices across the country should soon receive Economic Census forms from the United States Census Bureau.

The forms, which are scheduled to be delivered between October and December, will be distributed to approximately 4 million employer businesses and are required by law to be filled out. Most forms should arrive in mid-December.

According to the United States Census Bureau, most businesses with four or more employees will receive the forms, as well as a sampling of even smaller businesses.

The census is distributed every five years and is a “measure of American business and the economy,” according to the Census Bureau website.

Forms must be returned by mail or completed online by Feb. 12, 2013, and results will be published between 2013 and 2015. Responses to the census are confidential.
