Yoghund-brand organic peanut butter and banana flavored frozen yogurt dog treats made by TBD Brands, LLC, are the subject of a recall due to the risk of salmonella contamination.

The treats contain peanut butter made by Sunland, a company whose recall of nuts and nut-containing products has forced recalls by many other manufacturers in the human and pet food industries.

The frozen yogurt products being recalled were distributed nationwide and include “case product of Lot Code 268 12 and earlier, cup and four pack Best By Date of 9.24.14 or earlier,” according to a news release from the manufacturer.

According to TBD Brands, LLC, the recall is voluntary and precautionary, as no yogurt-related illnesses have been reported.
