Petplan taking nominations for the veterinary profession's top individuals and practices

Petplan pet insurance is accepting nominations for its 2014 Veterinary Awards, which will recognize the profession's top individuals and practices.

According to the company, it is now accepting nominations from anyone and everyone including pet owners, veterinarians, hospital staff, and family and friends of veterinarians. Everyone who submits a nomination will be placed into consideration for a weekly drawing with a prize of a $100 PetSmart gift card, the company said.

"As pet parents, we understand that keeping our pets healthy and happy is often a true team effort, which is why we're excited to announce the addition of a new award, for Practice of the Year," said Petplan co-founder and co-CEO Natasha Ashton. "With this award, we hope to shine a well-deserved spotlight on the efforts of the entire clinic, from veterinarians and technicians to practice managers and support staff."
