AVMA seeks Counsel of Education candidates
If you’re New Year’s resolutions include volunteering in 2016, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) may have what you’re looking for.
The AVMA Council on Education (COE) Selection committee is seeking interested and qualified AVMA members who are clinical practitioners to serve on the COE. Specifically, in the spring of 2016, the COE will be filling the position of “Private Mixed Clinical Practice.”
AVMA members should visit the members-only area of the AVMA website to access applications. Electronic applications should be submitted by Feb. 15. An overview of the COE’s responsibilities are available on the AVMA website.
The AVMA COE is the accrediting body for schools that offer the professional DVM degree or its equivalent in the United States and Canada. The COE also accredits other foreign programs, and assists colleges of veterinary medicine in meeting the requirements for accreditation.
