It’s time to take advantage of the Ready. Set. Go! Forward Booking Initiative.

In collaboration with the Veterinary Medical Association Executives (VMAE), Partners for Healthy Pets (PHP) is providing an array of ready-to-use, resources that surround the implementation of forward booking at the practice level. Forward booking simply means scheduling ALL patients’ appointments before they leave the practice.

Partners for Healthy Pets (PHP), an alliance of 100+ veterinary associations, veterinary colleges, and animal health companies focused on preventive care led by AAHA and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), is offering free, downloadable tools to help your practice create an effective forward booking system.

After orienting yourself to the material provided on PHP’s website with The Key to Forward Booking Appointments: Unlock the Potential of a Best Practice for Your Practice, there are some quick and easy ways to start implementing a forward booking system.

One is to download a short, 2-minute video covering effective ways to talk to your clients about forward booking. The video comes with an accompanying discussion guide you can use to talk to your team about the video after watching it.

Reminders are key. There are two ways to remind everyone involved to schedule patients’ next appointments before they leave: through buttons and posters.

The buttons will help remind your team and your clients to forward book appointments before they leave and can be ordered through PHP.

There are four available high-resolution posters, and you can download any (or all) four as a reminder to clients and team members. Posters can be framed in either an 8.5” X 11” or 11” X 14” format.

Forwarding booking is a significant way to help your practice grow, and it doesn’t have to take up all your time. Utilize these free, downloadable tools from PHP to implement your plan as effectively as possible.
