AAHA launches new purchasing program exclusively for accredited members

NASHVILLE, Tennessee—In a move to provide even greater support for member practices, the American Animal Hospital Association is launching a new purchasing program designed to meet the needs of AAHA-accredited hospitals.

The program, called AAHA Advantage, officially launched in Nashville during AAHA Nashville 2017.

AAHA Advantage supports AAHA’s mission of enhancing veterinarians’ abilities to provide quality medical care to companion animals.

“By helping AAHA practices be more financially sound while getting the products and services they need, AAHA provides veterinary practices the tools and savings to be successful in delivering excellent care for their patients,” said Michael Cavanaugh, DVM, DABVP (Emeritus), AAHA chief executive officer. “Advantage is unique in that it is dedicated to giving back to the veterinary profession by keeping revenue where it belongs—in the veterinary practice. We are proud to offer AAHA Advantage to our accredited practices.”

Accredited members who participate in the program will have the opportunity to take advantage of preferred offers from top manufacturers and receive exclusive discounts, preferred pricing and/or rebates on veterinary products and services. Advantage is free for accredited members to try until September 30, 2017—after that, a low annual membership fee of $300 will apply.

AAHA does not receive compensation from participating vendors; membership fees go to covering the administrative costs of the program. Any proceeds from the program go back into AAHA initiatives such as veterinary practice guidelines and other programs that benefit the veterinary profession.
