Neurobiology Lab Manager, Stanford University
Partner, Remedy Veterinary Specialists
Speaker and Author
Stephen grew up in Woodland California, a city, more like a town surrounded by farms. When he was young, he spent a large amount of time with his grandparents who taught him how to dance, cook, and appreciate Mexican/Chicano culture. Stephen has a wonderful husband, Camilo Moor Niño, who is from Colombia, where the two plan to split their time.
After years of working in almost all sectors in the veterinary industry, Stephen found his “home” in academia, first at UC Davis and now at Stanford University as a lab manager in the department of neurobiology. He is also a partner at Remedy Veterinary Specialists in San Francisco, California, where he helps difficult-to-treat pain patients.
Stephen has had a lively career with several publications in the form of scientific papers, magazine articles, and over a dozen book chapters. He is an award-winning international speaker and viewed as a leading expert in veterinary anesthesia/analgesia and cannabinoid medicine.
