New Data on Pet Food Recall Released; Veterinarians Emphasize Scope of Issue

Big announcements are in store for the American Animal Hospital Association Nashville 2017 Yearly Conference. AAHA Nashville 2017 is set to kick off on Thursday, March 30. The conference runs March 30 – April 2.

In a move to provide even greater support for member practices, the American Animal Hospital Association is launching a new purchasing program designed to meet the needs of AAHA-accredited hospitals. The program, called AAHA Advantage, officially launched in Nashville during AAHA Nashville 2017.

The International council for Veterinary Assessment (ICVA) is now accepting nominations for the Assessment Development Committee (ADC). The ADC is composed of a broad representation of species and content areas across veterinary medicine.

Each year, the AAHA conference promotes a local charity that strengthens the human-animal bond by helping both animals and people. This year’s charity, Hounds 4 Heroes, is a Tampa Bay charity that provides fully trained service dogs to assist military veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other disabling conditions. AAHA will match up to $5,000 of the money raised for Hounds 4 Heroes at AAHA Tampa 2015.
