Frequently asked questions

What Does Volunteering Require?

For MACC, PAC and LINC:

  • There are both DVM and non-DVM opportunities
  • Must be an AAHA Accredited Practice Team Member whose practice has maintained AAHA Accreditation in good standing for at least three consecutive years prior to appointment.
  • Complete an annual orientation at the start of term sometime in September
  • At least a 1-year commitment

For other remote volunteer opportunities:

  • We offer a variety of remote volunteer opportunities, please review specific opportunities for requirements for each position.
When can I volunteer?

The three committees, MACC, PAC and LINC all have terms which begin in September immediately following AAHA Con and run until the following year. Volunteers serve an initial one (1) year term followed by a two (2) year term if they choose to continue on the committee.

Other volunteer opportunities could require participation for a few weeks or a few months, please review specific opportunities for their requirements.

How to apply?

If you are interested in our volunteer opportunities, please use the sign-up sheet below and mark all opportunities you are interested in. If you are interested in a specific opportunity, please write that in the ‘other’ box on the sign up sheet.

How much time commitment is expected from volunteers?

The time commitment varies depending on the role. Be sure to review each opportunity for specific details on the expected time commitment.
