Ohio State University recruiting dogs for osteoarthritis clinical study

Ohio State University is looking for dogs with osteoarthritis for a study of a potential new treatment for the painful joint disease. The treatment has already shown significant reductions in lameness for equine osteoarthritis patients, but its effectiveness has not yet been tested on dogs with the disease.

Nine U.S. hospitals and clinics designated Veterinary Trauma Centers

The American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) has designated nine U.S. veterinary hospitals and clinics as Veterinary Trauma Centers. The trauma centers will collaborate to define high standards and care and disseminate information that improves trauma patient management efficiencies and outcomes.
