AHS announces findings of new heartworm incidence survey

While the hotbeds of heartworm disease haven’t changed dramatically in the past three years, the incidence numbers reported by participants in the 2016 American Heartworm Society (AHS) Incidence Survey indicate that the average number of positive cases per veterinary clinic has been inching upwards.

The American Animal Hospital Association will support Nashville-based Nashville Cat Rescue during the AAHA Nashville 2017 Yearly Conference March 30 – April 2. Nashville Cat Rescue (NCR) is a non-profit organization that rescues cat and kittens from high-kill shelters and the streets to place them into permanent homes.

Sofie, which is powered by LifeLearn; and VetFolio, which combines resources from the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) and AAHA, are two veterinary specific references trying to fill this gap.
