AAHA’s 2025 Accredited Practice of the Year finalists announced

This year’s four finalists are Stonebrook Family Pet Clinic, Harbor Point Animal Hospital, North Shore Family Pet Hospital, and Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort. We asked them all what being a finalist means to their practice team. 

Harbor Point Animal Hospital

What they said: 

Being named an AAHA-accredited Practice of the Year is a great honor. It shows that our standard of care is top notch, and it validates the pride we pour into our work and the intentionality behind every choice we make. We live out our mission daily: changing the way pets see the vet. Every single day, we show up for one another and our clients, guided by our values of client, patient, and staff comfort. To have AAHA recognize that heart and hard work means everything to us.

What they said: 

Finding out we’re a finalist for AAHA-accredited Practice of the Year honestly means so much to us. It’s not just about the title – it’s about everything our team puts into this place every single day. We don’t follow AAHA’s standards just to check a box. We do it because we really care about giving pets and their families the best care possible. 

When it came time for our re-evaluation, everyone showed up big time. People took ownership, helped each other out, and really poured themselves into it. It felt less like a test and more like a moment to show who we are, and we’re super proud of what we’ve built together 

Our goal is to be a household name in Frisco and throughout the DFW area— a name people know and trust when it comes to compassionate, high-quality care. We’re grateful for the support we’ve received and committed to growing with our community for years to come. 

Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort 

What they said: 

Being named a finalist for the AAHA-accredited Practice of the Year is a profound honor for Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort, affirming 35 years of dedication to AAHA’s rigorous standards. Every day in our hospital, we follow procedures, uphold standards, and communicate information that AAHA helped us develop over many years of inspection and accreditation. It means that the blood, sweat, and tears given by our staff daily is recognized for the difference it makes to our clients, patients, and community. This recognition is a source of pride for our entire hospital family, as it celebrates our shared commitment to providing exceptional care to our patients. 

North Shore Family Pet Hospital 

What they said: 

We are deeply honored to be nominated for AAHA’s prestigious Accredited Practice of the Year (APOY) award. This recognition is not just a testament to our commitment to exceptional veterinary care, it’s a celebration of the people who make NSFP what it is: our devoted pet parents and our incredibly resilient, passionate team.  

 Our doctors and leadership feel truly privileged to work alongside veterinary professionals whose compassion and expertise are the heartbeat of our practice. These remarkable individuals not only uphold both AAHA and NSFP’s high standards but continually inspire us with their drive to exceed them.  As well as an accolade, this nomination is a joyful affirmation of our years spent championing animal welfare and striving to make a meaningful difference. Drs. Bannow and Shechter are profoundly moved to see their hardworking employees recognized in such an honorable and uplifting way.  

We hope this moment will shine a light on the extraordinary talent and spirit within the veterinary field.
