2025 Teams@Work Photo Contest WINNER!

Sometimes you just have get down on the floor and meet your patients where they are. Techs and veterinary assistants know this better than anyone. In this photo, sent to us from Quail Hollow Animal Hospital in Wesley Chapel, Florida, veterinary assistants Shaleena Perkins (left) and Lisa Cunningham show that they are not afraid to go that extra mile, helping two surgery patients with their recovery at their level. Photo by Hospital Manager Lisa Calton

The above photo is the official winner of the 2025 Teams@Work photo contest, so the winning practice will receive an AAHA swag bag and gift card for the team. Congratulations Quail Hollow!

Why we loved this photo: The image clearly displays the dedication that veterinary staff are proud of and known for. The love of animals and the instinct to provide comfort and care to veterinary patients shines through. Working as a team, Shaleena and Lisa are not only supporting the two dogs in recovery, but also the entire staff at the AAHA-accredited practice, who provide top-quality care from reception to surgery all the way back into their owners arms.
