Beat the heat this summer with learning opportunities from AAHA! Here’s what’s to come this month in podcasts.

New Podcast Episodes

July 2nd – Dr. Ingrid Taylor

Dr. Ingrid Taylor is a veterinarian and AAHA’s Director of Guidelines. We talked about how topics are chosen, how the task force members are selected, and how important it is to have members with diverse perspectives and backgrounds on the task force.

She also shared some of her thoughts and experiences on inclusivity for veterinary professionals with disability, advancements in technology, ethical considerations for veterinarians, and the emotional state of animals.

July 16th – Dr. Melissa Magnuson

Dr. Melissa Magnuson is a veterinarian and owner of three AAHA-accredited veterinary practices and a new member of the AAHA Board of Directors. Before joining the board, one of her hospitals, Canobie Lake Animal Hospital, won AAHA Practice of the Year in 2024.

We talked about what inspired her to become a practice owner, what being AAHA-accredited means to her and her team, and how she acquired her business acumen.

She also talked about her Conscious Care program, a program she created to train and support her team members both professionally and personally so that they have the tools they need to show up as their best selves at work.

You can catch up on the conversation and subscribe to From the SOAP Box on SpotifyYouTube, and AAHA’s LMS.
