American Animal Hospital Association announces changes in leadership 

Dr. Guylaine Charette, who has served as AAHA’s past board president will assume the interim role in July, replacing former CEO Garth Jordan. 

In a press release from AAHA, Scott Driever, DVM, AAHA’s current board president said “Dr. Charette’s proven track record of leadership within AAHA, combined with her broad experience in the veterinary community, makes her the ideal person to guide our organization through this transition.” 

Jordan served as AAHA’s CEO for five years, in that time, he expanded AAHA’s accreditation presence into Asia, working with Japan, South Korea, and China.  

In the announcement, Driever said “Garth’s visionary leadership has been instrumental in positioning AAHA as a truly global force in veterinary medicine.” 

“I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together, from expanding our global reach to conducting research that’s making a real difference in veterinary practices every day. I’m confident that Dr. Charette’s leadership will continue to drive AAHA’s mission forward,” said Jordan.  

Jordan’s last day with the organization will be June 30, 2025.
