A 2023 survey from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) noted that 40% of AVMA’s members surveyed said “they or someone they work with has been a victim of cyberbullying in the workplace.” The study also mentions how cyberbullying for companion animal veterinarians increased by nearly 20% since 2014.
For those who are CVMA members, the hotline is open 24/7. The number to call is 800-643-9380.
The hotline is staffed by crisis-management experts from Bernstein Crisis Management. In addition to the hotline, CVMA also offers anonymous peer support through its Togetherall platform, which gives veterinarians and students a safe, confidential space to connect with colleagues and mental –health professionals around the clock.
