Why Is Jeff So Awesome?

Jeff is our technician team leader, a position that requires him to be there to support not only our team of talented licensed veterinary technicians but our veterinarians and veterinary assistants as well. His ability to lead with a calm and caring manner makes both staff and clients feel comfortable and supported. This, together with his years of experience and knowledge, makes him a highly respected and liked team member.

How Does He Go Above and Beyond?

Working in a multidoctor small-animal/exotic/urgent care hospital (we wear many hats at All Creatures Animal Hospital) can be hectic and stressful. COVID-19 added yet another dimension to the equation. Jeff has gone above and beyond, stepping in wherever needed and working tirelessly to help our practice succeed in these trying times.

In His Own Words

Why do you love your job? Being in the business for close to 25 years now, I have seen not only veterinary medicine grow, advance, and evolve, I’ve seen the people grow and advance as well. The furry, feathered, and scaled patients that we have the privilege of treating and “hanging out with” give joy to people around the world. These pets are someone’s children, and we are responsible for keeping them healthy and thriving. I really feel that I/we matter and make a difference in their lives.

Favorite celebrity: I’m a huge fan of Will Ferrell. He just wants to make people laugh and doesn’t take life too seriously. I find that, in the veterinary world, when times are tough and very stressful, trying to lighten the mood seems to help.

Pets at home: I have an 11-year-old terrier/beagle named Mya and a 12-year-old domestic shorthair named Flava Flav.

Congratulations, Jeff, and special thanks to Laura Studer, LVT, for this month’s Employee of the Month nomination!

Each month in Trends, we will spotlight a team member from an accredited practice.
