Why Is Christine So Awesome?

The entire staff is deserving of recognition for how amazing and resilient they have been in adapting to all the changes that the pandemic has brought. Our practice values a healthy work-life balance, but for a while, we had to split into two alternating teams working 10-hour shifts. The change was difficult and tiring, but Christine never let it get to her. She has been the compassionate and kind face of the practice throughout the pandemic. She is always patient and understanding with all of our clients, even when they are not on their best behavior. She has a caring word for everyone on the team and genuinely makes you happy to know her. As someone who is always boosting her teammates up, she deserves a big shoutout of her own.

How Does She Go Above and Beyond?

She makes every client and team member feel valued, appreciated, and supported on an ongoing, consistent basis.

In Her Own Words

Why do you love your job? I work with people who are incredibly intelligent, skillful, and compassionate; I’m inspired by them and our shared dedication to our patients. I’m very fortunate to have the opportunity to make a positive impact by helping our clients in their pursuit of the best care for their pets.

Favorite celebrity: Big Bird.

Pets at home: Lucy “The Goose” Corcoran, 10-year-old German shepherd mix.

What brought you to the profession? I’ve had a lifetime love of animals, and my first job at 16 was for a pet-supply store. After initially pursuing a different field of study in college, I realized I still had to be involved with animals in a professional capacity. I changed my major to Animal Science and entered the field as a veterinary assistant at a small-animal practice.

Hobbies outside of work: Walks with my dog, watching documentaries, spending time with loved ones.

Favorite book/show: All Creatures Great and Small, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, The Office, The Great British Baking Show.

Each month in Trends, we will spotlight a team member from an accredited practice.

Does your team boast an outstanding veterinarian, technician, customer service representative, or kennel worker?
