Kwane Stewart, DVM is a veterinarian with experience in general practice, emergency medicine, and shelter medicine, founder of Project Street Vet, and CNN’s 2023 Hero of the Year. Through Project Street Vet, Stewart and his team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians provide free veterinary care to the pets of unhoused individuals in cities throughout the country. He was chosen from a group of ten finalists to be CNN’s Hero of the Year in 2023 for his work with Project Street Vet.
