AAHA Problem and Diagnosis Terms

AAHA’s Problem and Diagnosis Terms consist of approximately 5,600 clinical signs and diagnostic terms commonly used in companion animal practices in North America. They are mapped to SNOMED codes and available in XML format.

To ensure these terms are available as widely as possible, AAHA’s Board of Directors has agreed to release them under reciprocal open-source licenses, without fee or royalty.

To access the terms:

1. Acquire a UMLS License number in the U.S. or International Affiliate License. There is no fee to obtain the license.
2. Accept the terms of AAHA’s license agreement. You will be asked to submit your UMLS number at that time.
