Mission

The mission of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals - Angell Animal Medical Center (MSPCA-Angell) is to protect animals, relieve their suffering, advance their health and welfare, prevent cruelty, and work for a just and compassionate society.

Within the MSPCA-Angell, the Angell mission is:

* To provide the best possible medical and surgical care to sick and injured animals, with compassion and understanding for all, and to advance veterinary medicine to a higher standard.

* To create a culture where clients’ expectations are exceeded, and all staff is respected, proud to work, and professionally fulfilled.

* To be the referral center of choice for veterinarians whose patients require special diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

* To provide veterinary support and expertise to all programmatic areas of the MSPCA-Angell.

* To provide training for graduate veterinarians through internship and residency programs.

* To develop new knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of companion animal diseases.
