Nominations sought for veterinary licensing board positions

If you’ve thought about leveraging your veterinary expertise and doing good at the same time, now is your chance.

The National Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners (NBVME) is seeking three board members, whose terms will start in late June 2016, for its Examination Development Advisory Board (EDAB). Nominations are due by May 2.

There will be three open positions on the EDAB: one Canine (also Pet Bird), one Feline (also Other Small Animal), and one Equine.

The EDAB is responsible for the main content areas of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE®). Its duties include soliciting and appointing NAVLE item writers each year and participating in item and form review meetings.

Committee members are selected to provide broad representation from across the United States and Canada, and from the academic, practices, species groups, and licensing communities.

To nominate yourself or someone you know, email [email protected] with “EDAB Nomination” in the subject line. The NBVME will follow up with those nominated.
