Improve your preventive care with free, online tools

Benjamin Franklin once said: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” That is as true today as it was then and can be applied to pet health and the preventive care of your clients.

Partners for Healthy Pets (PHP), an alliance of 100+ veterinary associations, veterinary colleges, and animal health companies focused on preventive care led by AAHA and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), is providing a free continuing education program to give you the resources you need to communicate the benefit of preventive care to your clients.

The Preventive Healthcare Certificate Program is an online, 10-module certificate program that will improve the overall quality of preventive healthcare you provide to your patients.

Learning unit topics include:

  • The Opportunity Survey: This valuable survey tool can help you understand your clients’ needs.
  • Preventive Healthcare Guideline Implementation: Learn about the AAHA/AVMA Preventive Healthcare Guidelines for Dogs & Cats along with tools that will motivate the entire practice team.
  • Monthly Payment Preventive Healthcare Plans: Help pet owners better budget for preventive healthcare and increase their openness to routine visits.
  • Internet Marketing and Social Media: Find out how to build dynamic online presence for your practice.

To complete the course, you must take quizzes at the end of the first nine modules with a score of at least 90% on each. The program can be completed on your own time and at your own speed.

Take advantage of this free, online certification course and develop a more effective preventive healthcare program for your practice.
